Your domain, your address

Put your own domain behind every email you send

Connect the domain you already own to Maililo and create addresses like hello@yourcompany.com. We verify ownership, show you exactly which DNS records to add and tell you when each one is correct.

Connect your domain

The problem with a generic address

An address at a free webmail provider tells customers nothing about your business, and it ties your contacts to a service you don't control. A custom email domain fixes both: your address carries your brand, and it stays yours even if you change provider.

How Maililo connects your domain

  1. Add your domain. Enter the domain you own in your dashboard.
  2. Prove ownership. Add one TXT record; Maililo checks it server-side.
  3. Add the mail records. Copy the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC values shown for your domain — DKIM keys are generated specifically for it.
  4. Check and go. Click Verify DNS; each record shows as Verified or Missing, with what DNS currently returns next to what's expected.

What you get once it's connected

  • Mailboxes on your domain, created from your dashboard
  • Webmail in the browser, plus IMAP and SMTP for mail apps on paid plans
  • Aliases and forwarding (Starter and up), catch-all addresses (Business and up)
  • Optional records for automatic mail-app setup and transport security, clearly marked as recommended rather than required

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy a domain from Maililo?

No. Maililo works with a domain you already own at any registrar. You keep the domain where it is and only add a few DNS records.

How does Maililo confirm I own the domain?

You add a TXT record at _maililo-verification with a unique token. Maililo checks it on its servers before any mailbox can be created, so nobody can claim a domain that isn't theirs.

Can I use more than one domain?

Yes. The Free plan includes 1 domain, Starter 3, Business 10 and Pro unlimited domains.

What happens to my address if I switch providers later?

The address belongs to your domain, not to Maililo. If you move, you point your DNS records elsewhere and keep the same address.
